Our Company has built an award winning development portfolio over the last forty years. Were seeking a Development Accountant to join our team of professionals in Newport Beach, California. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: v Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred 2-3 years experience in Construction/Development Accounting 2-3 years experience in Commercial/Industrial Accounting Strong Excel skills required Good communication skills Ability to handle multiple projects, consistently meeting set deadlines v Job Duties: Coordinate coding, approval, and input of development invoices Prepare monthly construction draws in accordance with deadlines for development projects Prepare monthly journal entries related to all development projects Track funding of construction draws & coordinate payment of invoices with A/P Tracking Preliminary Notices and Lien Releases on general contracts for development projects Monthly accrual journal entries for property taxes & insurance on development and operations projects in accountants portfolio Monthly accruals of significant operating and development expenses Assist in preparation of schedules and booking of Deferred Rent journal entries for operating projects Assist in preparation of schedules and booking of depreciation and amortization of fixed assets Preparation of schedules and booking of Bad Debt Reserves for operating projects Review of month-end A/R and A/P aging reports Bank reconciliations Reconciliation of trial balance accounts Prepare monthly financial statements and complete month-end closing for operating and development projects in accordance with deadlines Responsible for payment of monthly debt service for all projects in portfolio Quarterly preparation of request for reimbursements from Capital Reserve Impound Accounts Assist in preparing annual budgets for operating projects Preparation of year-end work papers as required by Auditors Great benefits.
